June 29, 2017: Vint Hill Parkway is open to the public under temporary striping from the roundabout, giving access to Bludau Dr. from the North. Crews have completed and tested Water Main service making the PHASE 1B&PHASE 2 water mains operational. Storm sewers, curb & gutter sections in Phase 2 have also been installed. The portion of Kennedy Rd. that is currently closed from Burroughs Drive to Aiken Dr. (PHASE 2) is being set on grade. We anticipated to have the sub-base course placed, the road section be under asphalt, re-opened to the public in the next couple weeks. Please remember this is an active construction site. August 23, 2016: Construction on  PHASE 1A, is almost complete. We have completed curb & gutter sections, sub-grade placement & base asphalt, & are beginning to seed the slopes along the embankment. The road is scheduled to be open to traffic in the next couple weeks. Crews have also begun to move into Phase 1B, with rough grading sub-grade fills & storm sewers. Please use caution while using these temporary entrances &, also note that the parking area between L&L Delivery & BRAG, along Lineweaver Rd., is an active construction site. May 27, 2017: Kennedy Rd. has been closed between Burroughs Dr. & Brookside Parkway. Demolition of these existing roadway has been completed, & utility crews are continuing to install new water main & storm sewer for PHASE 2. Curb & gutter sections for PHASE 1B are being installed along proposed Vint Hill Parkway from the Roundabout, crossing Bludau Dr., with new access to Bludau Dr. being anticipated for use in the next few weeks. Please remember this is an active construction site. September 27, 2016: Access to PHASE 1A, is available from existing Farm Station Rd. for our businesses along Lineweaver Rd. Please note there are new traffic patterns at the intersection of Wirth Ln. The three new business entrances along Farm Station Rd. are also open for use.  Small finishing touches still remain in progress as we push forward towards the future roundabout in PHASE 1B, and tie in with Kennedy Rd. Crews continue with rough grading sub-grade fills, water main & storm & sanitary sewers. Please remember this is an active construction site. April 23, 2016: Demolition has started in PHASE 1A. The contractor is breaking out existing concrete slabs and asphalt. Please note that the parking area between L&L Delivery & BRAG, along Lineweaver Rd., is an active construction site. January 20, 2017:  Water Main & Storm Sewer installation has continued in PHASE 1B, but due to inclement weather in December & January progress has slowed. Weather permitting we are currently anticipating completion & re-opening the closed portion of Vint Hill Parkway in early March. Please remember this is an active construction site. August 3, 2017: Kennedy Road, PHASE 2 is complete and open for public use. Please note there are new traffic patterns at the intersection of Kennedy Rd. & Vint Hill/Brookside Parkways, as well as at the inersection of Kennedy Rd. & Aiken Dr. The new asphalt trails along Kennedy Rd. PHASE 2 are also available for use. PHASE 1B, Vint Hill Parkway between Bludau Dr. & Johnson Dr. is scheduled to be opened to the public next week completing the connection from Vint Hill Road to Brookside Parkway. Crews have now moved into PHASE 3B which includes closing the section of Kennedy from Aiken Dr. until the entrance of the WSA office. With an anticipated completion date of September 25.  Storm sewers are currently being completed, with new sanitary sewer next on the agenda. Also in this phase, the removal of the gravel path to be replaced with a new asphalt trail, and curb & gutter sections prior the completion of the new pavement sections. The intersection of Aiken Drive & Kennedy Rd. is schedule to be closed for construction on or around August 21, 2017. The newly constructed intersection section should take about two weeks to complete & reopen. Please follow detour signs to navigate you way around construction. Also, please remember this is an active construction site. June 2, 2016: Demolition is almost complete & construction has begun in PHASE 1A. The contractor is currently installing utilities such as sanitary sewer, water, & storm sewers.  Progress was slowed last month due to the weather/rain. Please note that the parking area between L&L Delivery & BRAG, along Lineweaver Rd., is an active construction site. November 1, 2016: Vint Hill Parkway South of Macintosh Dr. & North of Watson Ct. has been closed to complete demolition & construction of the PHASE 1B,  roundabout. New force main & gravity sanitary sewers have been tied into the east end & trojan pump stations. Almost 6000LF of sanitary pipe has been laid to improve this circuit. We will continue to complete the storm sewers along the proposed Vint Hill Parkway expansion, along with grading, earthwork and water main service. Please remember this is an active construction site. December 6, 2016:  Rough grading has continued along future Vint Hill Parkway, PHASE 1B. Currently over 1500LF of water main pipe has been laid to improve this circuit. We will continue to complete installation of the storm sewer system along the future Vint Hill Parkway as well as future use conduit crossings. Please remember this is an active construction site. February 27, 2017: The PHASE 1B storm sewer system & the water main system along proposed Vint Hill Parkway are nearly complete. Crews have begun working in PHASE 2, installing water main along Kennedy Rd. PHASE 1B curb & gutter sections have been placed from Kennedy Rd. past Johnson Dr., & in the proposed roundabout area. The roadways in those areas are being fine graded; the sub-base course & base pavement are expected to be completed in the next few days. Please remember this is an active construction site. July 11, 2016: Cuts, Fills, & grading is underway PHASE 1A, with installation of curb, gutter, and pavement soon to follow.  The contractor is also currently installing utilities such as water main, & storm sewers. There are two new temporary entrances for our business located at Covert Cafe & also Old Bust Head. Please  use caution while using these temporary entrances &, also note that the parking area between L&L Delivery & BRAG, along Lineweaver Rd., is an active construction site. News & Updates

 November 16, 2017: Kennedy Road, Phase 3A has been completed with storm sewers, improvements to the water main, sanitary sewers, curb & gutter sections, asphalt trails, parking lanes, & pavement courses. Within the next few days final striping, markings, street signs, seeding, & mulching will be completed. This phase is scheduled to be re-opened for use on November 21. Surface asphalt & final marking has also been completed on Farm Station Rd. & Vint Hill Parkway. Please remember this is an active construction site. March 15, 2017: Due to weather the scheduled date to re-open Vint Hill Parkway & the roundabout has beenextended to April 16. November 22, 2017: We are pleased to announce the reopening of Kennedy Road from Aiken Dr. to Rogues Rd. All Roads within the Vint Hill Road Project are now open for traffic in time for the holiday season! This final section of the current Vint Hill road project is reopening a week ahead of schedule. The overall $10M+ project included the completion of Vint Hill PKWY connecting it to Brookside PKWY and Kennedy Rd., the completion of Farm Station Rd. and it’s connection to Vint Hill PKWY at the traffic circle, widening and improving Kennedy Rd., the addition of on street parking along Kennedy Rd. adjacent to the County park property, a new parking lot at the Community Theater, and the final connections of the paved pedestrian trail along Kennedy Rd. and Farm Station Rd. The contractor will be wrapping up punch list items over the next few weeks with men and equipment working along the roads so please use caution as you drive, cycle or walk through the area. Please remember construction activity remains active in the area. April 24, 2017: The new roundabout, at the intersection of Vint Hill Parkway, Farm Station Rd., & Watson Ct. is now open to the public. Kennedy Rd. PHASE 2, is scheduled for closure Monday April 24, 2017 between Burroughs Dr. & Aiken Dr. Local traffic only will be permitting on Kennedy Rd. from Vint Hill Rd. to Burroughs Dr. and the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Please use caution as drivers adjust to the new traffic pattern.
Sub-base and asphalt courses have all been completed, as well as striping, signage, and the adjacent curb & gutter sections.[TH1]  Vint Hill Parkway from Kennedy Rd. past the Johnson Dr. intersection is partially paved, however is not complete at this time. Please refrain from using these areas, and observe all barricades and signage.
PHASE 1B utilities have been installed & are currently being tested. To date in PHASE 1B, over 3,000LF of Water Main, 3,000LF of Storm Sewer, 7,000LF of Force Main & Gravity Sanitary Sewer has been installed.
Crews will continue to complete the portion of Vint Hill Parkway, from Bludau Dr. towards Johnson Dr. installing curb & gutter, sidewalk sections, and all pavement courses in the next few weeks. Crews will also begin the demolition of PHASE 2, Kennedy Rd.

September 20, 2017: Kennedy Road, Phase 3B has been completed with storm sewers, curb & gutter sections, asphalt trails, parking lanes, & pavement courses. Within the next few days final striping, markings, & street signs will be added & the intersections of Aiken Dr. & Kennedy Rd. and Kennedy Rd south to the entrance of FCWSA will be opened for use as of September 21st. The Road Construction Crew will be moving to our final  - Phase 3A  - closing Finch Ln and Kennedy Rd from Rouges Rd to South of the entrance of FCWSA. Bludau Dr and Sigler Rd access is available from Farm Station Dr to Aiken Dr.  Please remember this is an active construction site.
